Android Studio is the official integrated development environment for Googles Android operating system, built on JetBrains IntelliJ IDEA software and designed specifically for Android development. It is available for download on Windows, macOS and Linux based operating systems
1. 64-bit Microsoft Windows 8/10/11.
2. x86_64 CPU architecture, 2nd generation Intel Core or newer, or AMD CPU with support for a Windows Hypervisor.
3. 8 GB RAM or more.
4. 8 GB of available disk space minimum (IDE + Android SDK + Android Emulator)
5. 1280 x 800 minimum screen resolution.
The i3 11th Gen is enough for Android Studio for app development, but at least 8 GB of RAM is the best option. Otherwise, it will take forever to launch the Android emulator.
Minimum space and configuration requirements: Officially android studio requires a minimum of 4GB RAM but 8GB RAM is recommended for it. It also requires a minimum of 2GB Disk Space but 4GB Disk Space is recommended for it. But these are the minimum requirements.
Graphic Card is not needed for Android Development. But yes, if you are a game developer or want to play games along with development then you can consider.
For Android development I suggest go with minimum intel i5 7th gen or more and for high budget intel i7 5th gen or more
Since Androids source code is in Kotlin (or Java), you will need to install the Java Development Kit (JDK) as well. You can download it here. This installation pack contains both Android Studio and the SDK (software development kit).
